With years of experience and a commitment to the highest training standards, we aim to prepare you to become a confident, knowledgeable, and skilled PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor.
Course Duration & Structure

Our IDC runs for a total of 14 days. Prior to the main course, we offer a 6-day free IDC Preparation Program designed to get you ready for success. This preparation helps you refresh theory, refine in-water skills, and become familiar with the structure of the course — giving you a solid foundation and greater confidence throughout the IDC.

Training Facilities
​
All IDC operations are held directly at Buddha View Dive Centre, providing seamless access to every learning environment:

On-site Pool: Located within the dive centre, ideal for confined water training. It’s just a few steps away from the ocean, making transitions between sessions smooth and convenient.

Classroom: Also inside the dive centre, allowing for a highly efficient and flexible daily schedule without unnecessary travel.

Open Water Training Site: All open water training dives are conducted at Tanote Bay, one of Koh Tao’s most beautiful and protected shore dive sites offering ideal conditions for instructor-level skill development.
Accommodation

We offer dedicated accommodation exclusively for IDC candidates at the Good View Hotel, located just 100 meters from the dive centre. The hotel provides:

Prerequisites
You must be a certified PADI Divemaster (or a comparable certification from a recognised dive organisation)
You must be at least 18 years old
You must have at least 100 logged dives
You must have completed an EFR Primary and Secondary care course in the last 24 months
You must be in good physical health and have been medically checked and cleared within the last 12 months
